Refraction is a solo project that is a minimalist exploration of color. Finding yourself in a strange surreal facility, you must piece together color oriented puzzles to unlock what comes next. Completion of the facility transports you to an abstract world where the last puzzle awaits.

Refraction was made in Unreal Engine 4. I programmed the game with Unreal’s blueprint programming language. The game’s focus is on puzzles that are order dependent and that show color change feedback on other game objects to signify progression.

All assets used were from the Unreal Marketplace. I combined a variety of models and materials to build the world. The sound design was done by me.
